The IELTS test is an international standard test of English proficiency that is taken for both education and immigration purposes. There are two types of the IELTS test: the academic and the general tests. The former is used taken by the students that want to continue their studies in universities in the US, UK, Canada, and other countries, whereas the people that plan to immigrate to Canada, Australia or New Zealand take the latter.
