UK Schoolchildren Break Guinness World Record

The British University of Sheffield has collaborated with UK elementary schoolchildren to break the Guinness World Record.


The faculty of engineering, advanced manufacturing Research center and the Department of music at the University of Sheffield joined efforts with school children from around the United Kingdom to develop an interesting mechanical system that enabled 88 children to play on the same piani, breaking the Guinness World Record for most people playing on a single piano at the same time.

The invention that was made public for the first time on Wednesday 21 came in the framework of a national project that commemorates 500th death anniversary of the Italian renaissance inventor Leonardo da Vinci.

The interesting devise broke the world record after it allowed 88 children to play on the same piano. The previous record was help by only 21 simultaneous players.
