The state of emergency announced by Morocco’s Ministry of Interior on Saturday 21 means that everyone, including expats and foreigners, is banned from moving about unless it is for a necessity. This can be going to work, buying necessary household items, buying medicines, or another pressing necessity. In any case, you have to carry this document with you and present it to the authorities in case you are stopped in the street.
Officials at the ministry have explained that the authorities will hand each adult citizen this document to fill up and informed that the process may take several days.
