The Moroccan NGO, Anouar Association, is calling on Moroccan and international teachers of English to participate in a volunteering program hosted in the small town of Ait Faska, near Marrakech. Through English language instruction, the association attempts to give the youngsters of this town who come from disadvantaged background a chance to open up to the world and multiply their future opportunities as it sees a direct correlation between the English language and economic prospects.
Teachers now have the opportunity to expand their zone of friends, meet the locals and get a first-hand experience of living in a small town, in addition to gaining international experience, which has become essential in as competitive field as language instruction.
